The XWave enables users to control on-screen objects with their minds as well as train their brains to control attention spans and relaxation levels.
It works via a headset strapped around the user's forehead, plugging into the iPhone jack.
A state-of-the-art sensor within the device can then read the user's brainwaves through the skull, converting them into digital signals before displaying them in various colours on the iPhone screen.
And as the mind focuses on a particular task the graphics change, indicating the user's level of concentration or relaxation.
The device is the latest in the field of emerging mind-controlled games and devices.
Innovations giant PLX Devices developed the high-tech sensor using technology that has for years been used by doctors to treat epilepsy and seizures in patients.

Japanese researchers have created a robot nurse that can lift elderly patients from wheelchairs and beds. Naturally, it looks like a giant teddy bear.
Riba, short for Robot for Interactive Body Assistance, was developed by the state-run Riken research center. Promoters are calling it the world's first robot to lift people in its arms.

Riba can also recognize faces and voices and respond to voice commands. There are no plans for immediate commercialization, according to Riken, but it will be deployed to hospitals over the next five years.
The big bear is an upgrade to Riken's Ri-Man robot developed in 2006 that could only lift about 40 pounds. Riba also moves quicker than Ri-Man, thanks to better processors.

Nokia N9 the new MeeGo-based Smartphone with alluring design and features was unveiled at the Nokia Connection Event in Singapore. The phone is same one that was leaked. The first thing to know about this phone is that there are no front buttons. The Nokia N9 is so intuitive that a swipe or gesture on the curved 3.9 inch AMOLED display is all you need to navigate through the MeeGo OS. The candybar form factor phone looks very similar to the the N8 but honestly we were expecting something similar to the E7. Unlike the N8 though the N9 runs on Mee-Go which is really nice to see. The phone is set to ship in three colors: pink, blue and black.
The new N9 is the first smartphone running on the Linux-based MeeGo operating system and it’s collaboration by both Nokia and Intel. To leave an app and go back to the home screen, the user swipes from the edge of the screen. The Smartphone’s body is made of polycarbonate material to improve antenna reception and has a one-piece unibody design. Such a amazing phone.

LONDON: With a see-through cabin, the aircraft of the future won't be for nervous flyers.Plane manufacturer Airbus has looked 40 years into the futrue and unveiled concept designs for the aircraft of 2050.The company's vision offers a revolution in air travel.
Gone are the regulated class divisions of First, Business and Economy, replaced by personalised zones that offer flexible, tailored levels of relaxation, interactivity and working spaces.Passengers can choose to travel in the Interactive zone, with a bar and electronic games where they can mingle and socialise. And those wanting quiet and solitude can choose the Relaxation zone.
The fuselage is replaced by a bone-like structure that will allow for panoramic views outside the aircraft.
For nervous flyers wanting to cut themselves off from the window views, or those simply seeking privacy from other passengers, seats would become 'holographic pods' that would shut out the outside world.
Seats could also change in size and shape for the individual passenger.

Although Airbus are gazing 40 years into the future, some of these developments could be turned into reality and incorporated into plane designs so that passengers reap the benefit of air travel with minimal environmental impact.

Amphibious Lamborghini - Amazing Floating Car
I never thought I'd see the day when a Lamborghini is seen floating. But here we are, that day has come. This unique classically mid-engined Lamborghini
Countach has been designed by Mike Ryan and it travels smoothly on both land and water. An amphibious Lamborghini, sounds neat. Of course, this baby is going to be quite slow in water, still it looks pretty novel. I doubt anyone will really use it in water anyway, but it's nice to have the option. Looking at the pictures, it totally reminds me of Bond movies or something. Imagine all the thrilling adventures you can have in this amphibious Lamborghini!

Engineering Students Build Fuel Efficient Car
Students of NED University,
Karachi build a fuel-efficient car.
The students of an engineering university in Karachi have built a fuel efficient car in this era of fuel price hike. They managed to build a car that covers 200 kilometres in just 1 litre. Students of NED University, Karachi, presented their design of a fuel-efficient car in ‘Marathon-Asia’ held in Malaysia last year. At that time, the car which they presented was able to cover 80 kilometres in a litre. Now, the same students made some technological advancement in that car, after which it covers 200 kilometres in 1 litre.
